Sound familiar?

Your customers ask every day. Finding them takes hours.

People ask for what you sell on Reddit, TikTok, Quora and forums, and those posts rank on Google for months. Byline Leads does the searching for you.

  • You don't have hours to scroll Reddit

What Byline Leads does:Your searches are checked on Google for you, platform by platform, every day or every week. You get a short list, not a feed.

  • You don't know where your buyers ask

What Byline Leads does:Google's top 10 shows you: the threads, videos and questions that rank for what your customers search, across 18 platforms and any forum.

  • A good reply takes time to write

What Byline Leads does:Every result arrives with a reply already written in the language of the post. It helps first; you edit it and post it.

  • Self-promotion gets you removed

What Byline Leads does:Every reply answers the question and says plainly who you are, and you get a reminder of the community's rules before you post.

How it works

From what you sell to the conversations

Set up a tracker once. Every scan brings the threads, videos, posts and questions your customers are reading.

  1. Step 1:Set up a tracker

Four short steps. Paste your website and we fill in what you sell. Keep the suggested searches (up to 10), pick platforms and up to 3 countries, then how often to scan and where to send results.

  2. Step 2:We check Google's top 10

For every search, country and platform, we read Google's first page through a licensed search API. AI scores each post for how well it matches what you sell, and the best 10 new ones a day come to you.

  3. Step 3:Join the conversations

Each result shows its match score and comes with a reply already written, in the language of the post, that answers first and says who you are. Edit it, post it yourself, then mark it as replied.

Platforms

Why Google's top 10 matters

When people search before they buy, Google often ranks threads, videos and questions next to the shops. Those pages keep being read.

Illustrative results for one search, with fictional titles. Real results depend on the search and the country.

  • People search before they buy

Searches like "best no pull dog harness" or "plumber near me reviews" bring up real threads, videos and questions, not only shops and ads.

  • Ranked pages keep being read

A thread on Google's first page is read by each new person who searches, for as long as it ranks. A helpful answer there keeps working.

  • Your reply sits under the question

Answer it well and say who you are. People deciding what to buy read it right where they are already looking.

Straight answers

Helpful first, honest always

Communities welcome people who help and remove people who advertise. Byline Leads is built for the first kind.

  • Is this spam?

No. You only see posts where someone asked a question or described a problem you solve, and every reply helps first and says who you are. If a reply would not help, skip the thread.

    Full answer
  • Will I get banned on Reddit?

Spam gets accounts banned; honest help is what Reddit is for. Each subreddit sets its own rules on self-promotion, so read them first. We remind you before you post.

    Full answer
  • Do you post for me?

Never. We do not post, comment, message or sign in for you, and we do not automate any account. You post from your own account.

Every scan costs us real searches and AI, so a card keeps the trial to one per person. You pay $0 today; cancel before day 8 from Billing and you pay nothing.

Example reply to "Need a no-pull harness for a strong 70 lb dog"

Full disclosure: I make a no-pull harness (Pellowick), so I'm biased. For a strong dog, a front clip on the chest matters more than the brand: it turns him to the side when he pulls. Leave two fingers of room under every strap, and measure the chest before you buy.

No harness fixes pulling by itself, so pair it with stopping when the lead goes tight. Happy to help with sizing, whichever one you pick.

Illustrative, from a fictional shop. Helpful first, the relationship disclosed, no link pushed.

The assumptions behind it

  • 2 minutes to search one phrase for one platform on Google and skim the first page.
  • 10 minutes to write a helpful reply from scratch, 3 to read and edit one that is written.
  • A month is 30 daily checks or 4 weekly ones, and 4 weeks of replies.
  • Reading the thread before you reply takes the same time either way, so it is left out.

An estimate, not a measurement. Your own times will differ.

Why we built it

We use it for our own products every day

Who is behind Byline Leads, and why it exists.

We built this for ourselves. At Jaspero we make our own software products, and like most teams we never had the hours to search Reddit, Quora and forums every morning for people asking about the problems our products solve.

So we built an engine that does it: it searches Google for the phrases our customers use, scores every post for how well it matches, and writes a first reply that helps before it mentions us. We run it every day for our own products. Byline Leads is that same engine, opened up for anyone who sells online.

It never posts for us, and it will never post for you.

FAQ

Questions and answers

Spam, bans and posting first, then the results, the platforms, the trial and your data.

Something else? Write to hello@bylineleads.com. We reply within one working day.

Who is Byline Leads for?

Anyone who sells goods or services online: shops and makers, software and apps, courses, agencies, consultants, and local businesses that take orders or bookings on the web.

If people search Google before they buy what you sell, there are threads, videos and questions about it on the first page, and you can take part in them.

Is this spam?

Not the way it is built to be used. Every result is a public post where someone asked a question or described a problem that matches what you sell, and every reply answers it first and says plainly who you are.

Nothing is posted automatically. You read the thread, decide whether you have something useful to add, and post it yourself. When a reply would not help, leave the thread alone: that is always the right call.

Will I get banned on Reddit?

Replying to a public post as yourself is what these platforms are for. What they remove is advertising: replies that do not answer the question, links dropped without context, and promotion that hides who is behind it.

On Reddit, each subreddit sets its own rules on self-promotion, and some ban it entirely, so read them before you reply. On Stack Overflow and the other Stack Exchange sites, an answer has to solve the problem that was asked, and you must disclose your affiliation in any answer that mentions your product.

Everywhere else the same holds: answer first, always say who you are ("I make X"), keep links rare, and when in doubt, leave it. Spam gets removed and can get your account banned.

Do you post for me?

No. Byline Leads never posts, comments, messages or signs in on your behalf, and it does not automate any account. You open the page, read the conversation and reply yourself, from your own account.

What counts as a conversation?

A public post, thread, video, question or forum topic that ranks in Google's top 10 for one of your searches, on a platform where anyone can open an account and reply: Reddit, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Quora and Stack Overflow, communities such as Hacker News, Product Hunt, Indie Hackers, DEV Community and Medium, and any discussion forum.

Shops, brand sites and other pages in the top 10 are kept apart from the conversations, so you can still see the whole first page.

Where do the results come from?

From Google's first page, through a licensed search results API. We do not scrape Google, and we never sign in to any platform. We only list public pages that Google shows to anyone who searches.

Each result shows its rank, the search and the country it ranks for, and when we first saw it.

How often do you check?

Daily or weekly, your choice per tracker (daily unless you change it), plus 1 extra scan a day when you press Scan now. Each scan checks every search in every country you picked and marks what is new since the last one.

New results come to you up to 10 a day across your trackers, each with a reply already written. You see them in the app, and we can also send them to your email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams and more.

How do you decide what matches?

Every new post is scored by AI from 0 to 100 for how well it matches what you sell, for example "92 match", and labelled with what kind of post it is: "Asking for a tool", "Describes the problem" or "Comparing options". The reason is one click away.

Only posts that score 75 or more come to you, best match first. The score is a guide, not a promise, so read the thread before you reply.

Why 10 new results a day?

So each one gets a proper reply. A scan can find more than anyone can answer well in a day, so the best matches come first: up to 10 a day across all your trackers, each with a reply already written.

The rest wait in a queue and come to you on the following days, best match first. A day starts at midnight UTC.

How many searches and countries can I track?

Up to 3 trackers, for example one per product or per market. Each has up to 10 searches and up to 3 countries.

The countries are the United States, the United Kingdom and the 27 EU member states. Each search is run for that country, as Google shows it there.

Which platforms do you cover?

Social networks: Reddit, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Tumblr. Questions and answers: Quora, and Stack Overflow with the other Stack Exchange sites. Communities: Hacker News, Product Hunt, Indie Hackers, DEV Community and Medium. And any discussion forum, from hobby forums to trade and support forums.

What they have in common: anyone can open an account and leave a comment or an answer. You choose which ones each tracker follows. A platform only appears when Google ranks one of its pages for your search, so the mix differs from one search to the next.

What do the AI replies say?

Each new result comes with a reply already written, in the language of the post. It answers the question first and says plainly who you are, using only what you told us about your product and what the post says. It does not invent customers, numbers or reviews.

It can still get something wrong, so read and edit every reply before you post it. You can ask for a new version of a reply whenever you need one, within fair use.

Can I change how the replies are written?

Yes. Each tracker shows the full prompt the AI receives, and you can edit your part of it: the tone, the length, what to mention and what to leave out.

The honesty rules are fixed and always apply, whatever your instructions say: every reply says who you are and never invents facts. Your instructions are yours, and so is what you post.

Where can I get my results?

In the app, and wherever you already work: email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Mattermost, push notifications on your phone through ntfy, a private RSS feed for each tracker, or a webhook for Zapier, Make, n8n and similar tools.

Each one connects with a link you paste. We only send messages to you; nothing is posted to your accounts anywhere.

How do I connect Slack or Discord?

Slack: create an app for your workspace at api.slack.com/apps, turn on Incoming Webhooks, add a webhook for the channel you want and copy its URL (it starts with https://hooks.slack.com/). Paste it in Byline Leads when you add Slack.

Discord: open the channel's settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, create a new webhook and copy its URL. Paste it in Byline Leads when you add Discord. You need permission to manage webhooks on that server.

Do you guarantee traffic or sales?

No. We show you where the conversations about products like yours are, and keep the list up to date. Whether a reply helps depends on what you write and on the community. Rankings change, and we do not promise any.

Why is a card required for the trial?

Every scan costs us real money: Google searches through our search provider, and AI to score each post and write each reply. A card keeps the free week to one per person and lets the trial turn into a subscription without a second sign-up.

You pay $0 today and nothing before day 8. Cancel before then from Billing in the app and you are never charged.

Your card is entered on Stripe's checkout page and stored by Stripe. We never see the number.

When will I be charged?

On day 8, unless you cancel before then. Start on 1 March and the first $10 is charged on 8 March, then on the same date every month.

We email you before the trial ends, so the charge is never a surprise.

How do I cancel?

In the app, open Billing, click Cancel trial (or Cancel plan), then confirm. No email, no call, no questions.

You keep access until the end of the trial or of the month you paid for, and you are not charged again.

What happens to my data?

Your searches go to our search results provider (Serper) to fetch Google's results, and we store the results we find so you can track them. To suggest searches, score how well each result matches and write replies, what you told us about yourself and your product, your instructions, and the title, snippet and address of the post go to our AI provider, Google's Gemini models on Vertex AI (Google Cloud).

When you connect Slack, Discord or another channel, summaries of your new results are sent to that service, which you choose.

We do not sell data and do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
